There are two international airports each about one hour
away by road.

Arrivals to Glasgow or Edinburgh should take the bus into the city
centre; from Glasgow take the bus via Balfron to Aberfoyle and from
Edinburgh take the train to Stirling then the bus to Aberfoyle.
Prestwick is Glasgow's other international airport which
is about one and a half hours away.
Arrivals in Prestwick: simplest route is a train to Glasgow, then bus
Aberfoyle.

The nearest railway station is at Stirling (the station is now a
preserved listed industrial building). Stirling is about 45 minutes by bus
from Aberfoyle (about 20 minutes by car). If there is no local public
