Loch Ard
Loch Ard starts only 1 mile from Aberfoyle beside the B829 Inversnaid and Stronachlachar road. The loch is in three parts which are joined by beautiful waterways well worth exploring by boat; for boat hire contact our local watersports specialists Go Forth on 01877 387775. The current coarse fish record for Perch caught in Scotland - is by J Walker who caught a 4lb 14oz (2.210kg) perch in Loch Ard in 1989. Fishing is allowed by permit from boats or bank. Loch Ard also has quite a reputation for large pike.
